Dr. Rayan Damaj Pediatrics
Ok so this is a common complaint in Lebanon expecially because of the heavy bags children carry
He should go to orthopedist to do xrays see if he has scoliosis and if only angle is above a certain amount brace is considered in severe cases surgery
Usuallly if mild should not carry heavy stuff, sports expecially bar fixed helps and most importantly life style modification is beneficial he should straighten back and should be encouraged to maintain good position even when sitting

Patient at this age group have their growth spurt and they may develop scoliosis or kyphosis, so it is better to be checked by his primary care physician to check for scoliosis and if needed to undergo " Scoliosis series" to check the degree of scoliosis if he has any and later to be checked by an orthopedic surgeon

Dr. Rachad Zayni Orthopedic Surgery
Begin by consulting the pediatrician to check up clinically if your child has a dorso-lumbar scoliosis or an isolated kyphosis of the dorsal spine. In term of this physical examination, decision is made if there is need for X-rays.
In most of cases, deformation is mild so physiotheray and avoiding heavy school bag carriying can be sufficient. If deformation is important, corset or sometimes surgey must be discussed.

It is advisable that your child be seen by his pediatrician and if it is scoliosis he should see an orthopedic surgeon. Did he have this shape of the shoulders when he was younger? around what age? is it getting worse?
