I'm experiencing some symptoms which could be the flu but I'm not sure. Can a blood test reveal if I have HiV or any other disease?

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
If you suspect that any of your behaviors might have placed you at the risk of contracting HIV infection, such as sharing needles, engaging in unprotected sexual intercourse (whether vaginal or anal) with a partner whose status of sexually transmitted infections is unknown or suspicious, or if you've received an untested/unscanned blood transfusion, then you may have a reason to worry about having HIV. Otherwise why would you? It's more likely to be a simple cold or nasty flu. In any case, get evaluated by a physician in the clinic for reassurance and proper management.

It could be flu but if you have any possible reasons to fear HIV, a simple test can rule it out.
