Hiv , hepatitis C , hepatitis b , syphillis is a 4 months post exposure ( 3 months post PEP for HIV ) CONCLUSIVE?
Dec 9, 2014

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
It is advisable that you do HIV testing one more time at 6 months post PEP. As for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and syphilis, if they were negative initially then you need not repeat them (it's not like in the case of HIV where there is a window period post exposure where the test fails to detect the virus).

Usually 3 months after exposure is a reassuring and satisfactory delay for all these tests. Which test was performed?
