she is in my opinion an iron women she fights her ownself to take her dicision and passes up her two healthy breasts to face an expected cancer before cancerous cells come and fight her cells!and as her husband Brad pitt says Angelina ‘is absolutely heroic’ yes she is,she rushes to surgery before she is obliged to do it after some years to save her life for her family.
There are several risk factors for breast cancer that angelina have and raises her chance of having the cancer to 85-90 % after some years,by doing the double mastectomy she reduces the risk to 5%
high RISK FACTORS FOR BREAST CANCER:
1- a history of cancer in one breast is three to four times likelier to develop a new breast cancer
2-Aging,Your risk of developing breast cancer increases as you get olde

ANGELINA JOLIE 'S CASE:,About 5% to 10% of breast cancer cases are thought to be hereditary,The most common cause of hereditary breast cancer is an inherited mutation in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. If you have inherited a mutated copy of either gene from a parent, you have a high risk of developing breast cancer during your lifetime. The risk may be as high as 80% for members of some families with BRCA mutations. These cancers tend to occur inYOUNGER women and more often affect BOTH breasts than cancers in women who are not born with one of these gene mutations. Women with these inherited mutations also have an increased risk for developing other cancers, particularly ovarian cancer.

Having a preventive bilateral mastectomy increased in the last five years. It significantly reduces the occurence of breast cancer in patients at high risk as stated by Dr Moussa.
What has also helped patient taking that decision is the possibility of undergoing a one stage procedure with immediate breast reconstruction. Patients go to the operation with there breasts, they come out with their breast tissue removed and their breast reconstructed.
The immediate breast reconstruction also improved a lot in the last decade. Implants can be offered to patients but alternative results using their proper tissue and fat without any implant made the reconstruction more natural and closer to the previous breasts. In cases, you can't even see the difference before and after mastectomy.
