Any way how I can decide if my child will be a boy/girl?

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
The Shettles method is the most well-known and natural method for choosing the sex of your baby. It's based upon timing intercourse to a woman's cycle and assuming certain sexual positions. Dr. Shettles describes that the male (Y) sperm is smaller, faster, and survives less in the womb than the female (X) sperm. So if you wish to have a boy, it's better to have intercourse closest to the time of ovulation (about a week after end of menstrual cycle). This allows the male sperm to reach the ovum sooner than the female one. The Y chromosome also has an advantage over the X chromosome when the sperm is discharged as close as possible to the opening of the cervix (by rear entry intercourse).
If however you'd like to have a girl, the missionary position (face to face, man on top) 2-4 days before ovulation is encouraged, so that by the time the ovum comes out from the ovary, only the heartier, more resilient X sperm will remain in the woman's reproductive tract.
If you choose to go for more sophisticated methods (thus costly), there's the MicroSort technique, which sorts sperm into X &Y. For optimal results, this has to be followed by in vitro fertilization.
