What are the known reasons for hands being cold most of the time? Are there ways I can get them warm and keep them warm?
Apr 17, 2013

Dr. Jean Esso Anesthesiology
One of the main causes of cold hands and feet is circulation problems. This is often caused by a sedentary lifestyle. If your days mostly consist of sitting down, there's a good chance that this could be the reason you are experiencing this symptom. Exercising for at least 30 minutes most days of the week and getting up to walk around several times a day can help get them warm. Other possibilities include underactive thyroid and peripheral vascular disease. If you frequently experience cold hands, just talk to your doctor. While the cause may be very simple, it could also be a serious health condition.
