Some ENT's are very happy with their results, while others have abandoned it. Partial resection is still my preferred technique, even though it comes with a higher risk of post-op bleeding.
Lahmieh or nasal turbinates should not be touched surgically, the problem is rarely from them! Your doctor should search for other factors causing nasal obstruction. The best thing to shrink them is using intranasal steroids.
