STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) is the transmission of some germs (bacterias or viruses) during a sexual intercourse.
The best way to prevent STDs is the use of condoms that are in good condition.

I will answer the question from another angle. All sexual acts and behaviors carry risk of transmitting sexual infections. The risk of oral sex is lower but still exists. Anal sex is also risky for many infections. Females are m ore affected than males and much more vulnerable. I agree with my colleague about sticking to safe sex practices at all times.
