it is not normal for a 7 years old child to shake EVERYTIME he goes to sleep ,yet it might be physiologic or psychic due to fear for example ,and might be organic ... several causes
this condition is called a tremor and ther are several causes for it and different types
Tremor in children is potentially serious; patients should be promptly referred to a neurologist. Childhood tremor should also prompt an in-depth investigation to elucidate its cause.beside there should be a full neurologic assessment for the kid
.A tremor is an involuntary, somewhat rhythmic, muscle contraction and relaxation involving to and from movements (oscillations or twitching) of one or more body parts. It is the most common of all involuntary movements and can affect the hands, arms, eyes, face, head, vocal folds, trunk, and legs. Most tremors occur in the hands. In some people, tremor is a symptom of another neurological disorder
there are many causes such as in general :
-Neurological disorders or conditions that can produce tremor including multiple sclerosis, stroke, traumatic brain injury, chronic kidney disease and a number of neurodegenerative diseases that damage or destroy parts of the brainstem or the cerebellum
-Parkinson's disease being the one most often associated with tremor.
-Use of drugs (such as amphetamines, cocaine, caffeine, corticosteroids, SSRI), alcohol, mercury poisoning; or the withdrawal of drugs such as alcohol or benzodiazepine.
-in infants with phenylketonuria,
-overactive thyroid
-liver failure.
-hypoglycemia, along with palpitations, sweating and anxiety
-lack of sleep,
-lack of vitamins,
-increased stress.
Deficiencies of magnesium and thiamine have also been known
