Dr. Ziad Tannous Orthopedic Surgery
dear madame , are you sure you were given hyaluronic acid and not Corticosteroids ?? hyaluronic acid injections are mainly reserved for intra articular injection in case of early onset osteoarthritis , steroids have a wider indication rates , including infiltration of a carpal or tarsal tunnel syndrome . As for the cramps , you have to make sure via an EMG for any neural origins of the cramps ( you should have done this as part of the work up for Tarsal tunnel ) ,some drugs can be beneficial to relieve the cramps but on a case by case basis and after careful physical and neurological exam
