My orthopedic doctor prescribed me Ossopan. Can you please explain what it does? And does it have any side effects?
Mar 23, 2013

Dr. Jean Esso Anesthesiology
Ossopan contains a complex crystalline compound made of calcium, phosphorus, bioactive growth factors, collagen, amino acids, glycosaminoglycans, and a broad range of essential trace elements that naturally comprise healthy bone. Vitamin D is present to support intestinal calcium absorption.
There are no known serious side effects, but it should be used with caution in patients who are paralyzed or bedridden, those with a history of kidney or bladder stones, in patients with malignancies that cause high calcium level or elderly.
