My daughter is one year and 7 months old and she still can't walk. She stands normally and she climbs on the furniture and sometimes moves a few steps and sets. What should I do to get her to walk?

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Your daughter must be seen by a pediatrician for a thorough evaluation of developmental delay; the evaluation will encompass all levels of expected development at this age, including cognitive (intellectual), motor (which include gross motor development like walking, climbing etc., and fine motor development like grasping objects etc.), in addition to the overall health status of your child, and try to identify any associated anomalies. After that, more investigation is needed to elicit the cause of the delay. The management will then be decided accordingly.

Dr. Elie Salem Pediatrics
It is better to be seen by a pediatrician to test for her reflexes motor power and including a complete physical exam and maybe to do further tests so it is better to be checked
