Flu, or influenza, is a viral illness caused by the Influenza virus; it mainly affects the respiratory system (nose, sinuses, throat, lungs) but may have other manifestations involving other organs (muscle and bone aches, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches).
