Brca1 & 2 are 2genes that when mutated increased tremendously your rate of having both breast & ovarian cancer, though ovarian cancer is more related to mutation to BRCA 1.
Those are hereditary, so when you have in your family a breast cancer, especially in your first relative at younger age, it is better to test for them.
