If you are experiencing palpitations or fast heart beats frequently, hyperthyroidism can be a cause.Given that you have removed your thyroid and you are probably on Levothyroxine, just check your TSH level to know if the medication dosage is adequate or is too much.
The TSH level can tell you if you are Euthyroid (TSH will be normal), Hypothyroid (TSH will be high) and hyperthyroid (TSH will be low).
