I'm experiencing a resurgence of anxiety disorder symptoms (frequent panic attacks) after a 2 years treatment. Can I get over this relapse without any medications?
Oct 7, 2013

Dr. Georges Karam Psychiatry
It all depends on the severity of your symptoms and how frequently they are happening. If the symptoms are mild to moderate, therapy such as cognitive behavioural therapy will be very helpful to overcome anxiety symptoms without medications. If the symptoms are severe or frequent, a combination of medication and therapy will be very helpful.

Dear Sir,

For Panic Attacks, unfortunately you have to take anti-panic medications.
There are a lot of medications used for this purpose, and after a while you may not be in need of using them. So, I advise you to consult your doctor and negotiate this issue with him bearing in mind that millions of people around the world take these medications, and find comfort by using them.
