I have extreme dry eyes, is there a solution or a diet to treat it?
Jan 16, 2013

Dr. Paul Yazbek Otolaryngology (ENT)
First you have to know the cause for this and your best option is to see an eye doctor.
It could be from a systemic disease or wind exposure like if you drive a bike, or just simply dry eyes.
Yes there is a solution, your doctor will plug the openings of the tear ducts and the condition will improve, or will treat the underlying cause!

Dr. Pierre Mardelli Ophthalmology
Dry eyes can be caused by sun, wind, and dry air exposure, indoor heating and airconditioning.
You ophthalmologist (eye doctor) may prescribe one or more of the following treatments:
Artificial teardrops
Long lasting lubricating gels
Ointments placed in the eyes to lubricate
Temporarily or permanently plugging the tear ducts

Pierre G. Mardelli
