I have been taking omnic ocas for prostate for the last 6 months when should i think of doing an operation

Operations for prostate enlargement really depend on the size of the gland and the symptoms it is causing. Waiting on it can be an option when the symptoms are mild and the blood test (PSA) is negative. Otherwise your Urologist would be the best person to judge the timing of the operation.

First of all, there is no harm in taking this drug for a long time, even lifelong.
Furthermore, there's other types of drugs that can help you with your symptoms. Those can be given in certain conditions in combination with Omnic Ocas.
Usually the degree of symptoms does not correlate with the volume of the prostate.
The decision of doing an operation depends on how much your urinary symptoms are bothering you, after trying the medical treatment. If you can not tolerate spending the rest of your life in this condition, you might be a candidate for surgery.
Some other conditions are an absolute indication for surgery, but I don't think you have any of those if you have already been treated for 6 months.
Finally, I suggest that you discuss your opinion with your urologist.
