I have an excess of saliva that i wake up with everyday. It can only stop after I eat or drink something afterwards (except for water) yet I cannot swallow it. Any solutions or explanation for this?

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Excess salivation could be due to increased production (due to infection or inflammation of the oral cavity; reflux; certain meds; diseases like syphilis), or due to inability to swallow (most commonly because of allergies, sinusitis, or more serious causes like certain neurological disorders). A comprehensive evaluation by your doctor is in order.

i agree with dr. Zakia. try to not eat late evening and don't sleep horizontally, try to keep your chest and head higher than abdomen and stomach.
