I have a baby born girl and I've heard many stories on how babies choke to death during their sleep. What measures should I take to prevent that?

Dr. Ivana Dabaj Pediatric Neurology
Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) can be prevented by the following measures:
-Sleeping position: put the baby on his/her back rather than stomach
-Avoid a lot of padding and pillows around your baby when sleeping in bed because he/she can press their face against and suffocate.
-Breast-feeding is protective for your child
-Don't overheat baby and don't cover your baby's head
-Don’t breast feeding while you are feeling sleepy and in bed because you can fall asleep accidentally and your baby’s face is pressed against your chest.
-We also advise that your baby sleeps alone in his bed and not between the parents.
