Dr. Salim Saab Otolaryngology (ENT)
It's possible you are experiencing symptoms of polyneuropathy, an EMG (Electromyogram) must be done or a nerve conduction study which would be helpful in determining the diagnosis. Contact your neurologist to have the test, diagnosis and treatment (if it's the case).

Dr. Ziad Tannous Orthopedic Surgery
A pain that radiates from the arm to the hand is most probably due to a radicular type like pain ( compression of a cervical nerve root ) in the neck from a disc , a bony protrusion. Symptoms range from pain , to numbness to weakness depending on the degree of the injury ( in the latter it is called radiculopathy ) , if symptoms appear or are elicited by a compressive force or a rotation movement of the head ... Most probably you have cervical radicular type like pain. Investigation include MRI , and electoconductive studies ( EMG ).

This can be a number of things ranging from nerve compression to tendinitis. Before doing any investigation, the first step is to visit a Hand Surgeon for proper assessment based on which any further tests maybe requested if needed.
