My 3 year old's ophthalmologist said he has "ouwet nazar" 1.5*1.5 but he didn't mention how long he'll wear glasses or if it'll resolve. Is it normal?

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
This condition is known as anisometropia, in which the child has unequal refractive error or power in his two eyes. The duration of the treatment not only depends on the degree of the refractive error, but most importantly, on the compliance to wearing the corrective glasses, and this factor varies greatly among children because they very often forget to wear their glasses or remove them (since they do not like to have them on) or lose them. As such it is not easy to determine the duration of treatment early on in the course. I am sure that the ophthalmologist you are seeing will base his judgment during follow up visits.
