How is the redness of your face distributed ,is it like a butterfly on cheeks and whose stem on nose ,do you have joint pain ,if this is the condition then it might be a systemic cause of auto immune disease like SLE especially if other symptoms are accompanied ,in such case you need to be seen by you rdoctor or rheumatologist for further tests and proper diagnose and if it is the case treatment of the condition will decrease the recurrence of the mouth ulcers and the redness of face ,the doctor will prescribe a topical steroid cream to reduce the redness .
however there are many conditions associated with mouth ulcers and some without a cause ,redness of the face might be of a cause not related to ulcers too such as eczema or contact dermatitis
Key of treatment in mouth ulcers especially if chronic more than 3 weeks or recurrent is knowing the cause to treat
However these are advised :
>A warm saline mouthwash has a mechanical cleansing effect and may relieve the pain of traumatic ulceration.
>Chlorhexidine mouthwash is of choice for aphthous ulcers.
It is also useful in the treatment of denture stomatitis and as prophylaxis in the prevention of oral candidiasis in immunocompromised patients.
>other treatments include topical or oral steroids ,local analgesics to help in eating without pain
>No single treatment has been found to be effective for recurrent aphthous ulceraton so there is no conclusive opinion regarding the best systemic intervention
So if the case is chronic or it has been more than 3 months you must check with the doctor for the cause and proper diagnose and treatment
