Treatment decisions are not made based on one reading. If your blood pressure is frequently over 140 systolic or 90 diastolic ( 130/80 if you are diabetic) then a change in the medical regimen may be needed. The medicine you are taking belongs to a class of drugs known as beta blockers. These have only a modest effect on blood pressure and are not usually recommended as a first line therapy unless you have other heart problems that require treatment with a beta blocker. Other choices include ACE inhibitors, diuretics , or perhaps calcium channel blockers. In addition you should limit your salt intake and maintain a healthy weight.

Agree with Dr Shammas, you should check it on several occasions.
Meanwhile changing your lifestyle is important by loosing weight, exercising and decreasing salt in your diet.
If your blood pressure is still higer than what is recommended then consulting your physician is recommenede.
