Olive oil is composed of a number of fatty acids, some of which are of great benefit to health (the monounsaturated fatty acids, mainly linoleic acid and linolenic acid both of which are essential fatty acids, i.e. they are not derived from any other source and you need to consume them because the body cannot produce them on its own), in addition to polyunsaturated fatty acid, saturated fatty acids (this is the bad fat), and vitamins E and K. 1 tablespoon of olive oil = 13.5g and gives you 119 Cal of fat. If you're not on a special diet, the recommended daily intake (RDI) of fat is 35g. If however you'd like to follow a specific plan to lose weight, kindly consult a nutritionist to properly organize your diet.
