Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
Anemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough healthy red blood cells. Red blood cells provide oxygen to body tissues

Being tired is a cause of your anemia (low blood cell count mentioned in the previous question)
But anemia in itself can be caused by a variety of reasons :
>The possible simple causes may be ,poor diet ,high fat diet ,frequent junk food consumption ,poor dehydration (low intake of water and fluids ),poor intake of fruits and vegetables and meat and iron rich food that could lead to anemia ,poor sleep periods ,depression ,stress, coiliac disease ,heavy menses, medications ,....

>other causes mught be from radiation, toxins, or tumor),internal bleeding such as ulcers leukemia, nutrition deficiencies of iron, copper, folic acid, vitamin B6, or vitamin B12,malnutrition ,Overhydration, chronic infections (Viral infections), autoimmune conditions, medications and more serious problems .

hypothyroidism(lack of thyroid function disease) might contribute to almost being tired and fainted and anemic

Diabetes , heart or lung problems may contribute to this condition.

SO as you have seen the list is too big and almost everything may contribute to your mentioned symptoms try to check with a doctor for further tests and full examination

YOU MUST CHECK YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE AND HAVE BLOOD TESTS :
CBC, iron, vitamin B12, folic acid, and other vitamins and minerals,CRP ,thyroid function TSH,blood sugar testing as a beginning tests and then thorough out examinations are held depending on the results

At the mean time ,you can start by balancing your diet ,sleep, stress, depression ,water intake ,you can take iron and vitamin supplements and if the problem is still you MUST CHECK WITH DOCTOR for the cause if it is related to poor intake or of bleeding and other causes .

These are some tips if you have iron diffeciency anemia :
Try these tips you may have wrong habits that is interfering with the iron intake:
-try to take your iron supplements with enough water ,since iron supplements may cause constipation
-try to drink more fluids containing vitamin C ,it helps in the absorbtion of iron in the blood
-Don't drink tea after meals ,tea contains polyphenols, could reduce the absorption of non-haem iron from foods
-calcium should not be taken with iron they affect the absorption of each other .
-increase your iron food intake (meat ,chicken ,lentils, spinach, beans, liver, iron fortified cereals(cornflakes),grains ,...

Therefore ,anemia is a wide angle condition having lots of cause ,treating the cause is the key of treatment ,once treated your tiredness will disappear.
