I went to the beach and somehow overtanned and got skin burns. How long should I wait to go back tanning, the healthy way? Will my skin not get tanned anymore?

Did you apply oil over the skin? If yes, this causes deeper burns so avoid to use them. Usually, a normal sunburn without the use of oil is a superficial burn and will heal within 7 to 10 days by itself. Just be careful for the next exposure and apply a sunscreen, you will still tan even if you use a sunscreen. After a superficial burn, you will get tanned again once you get re-exposed to the sun so no worries. Tanning depends on your skin color, the darker your skin is, the more you can tan, and the whiter it is, the more you will get sunburns.
