I have a very white skin and would like to become tanned for the summer. What's the healthiest practice?

It is not easy for fair skinned people to tan but here are some tricks:
1. Use protection: protection doesn’t stop you tanning, it stops you burning. If you burn, your skin will not tan!
2. Apply Sun Tan Accelerators (carrot) over your SPF cream. They will nourish and moisturize your skin and will give you a kick-start.
3. Be patient and build your tan up slowly. Start with only 15-20 minutes in the sun on your first session and increase your time by only 5-10 minutes in later sessions.
4. Let your skin rest after exposure. Sitting in the shade after tanning is of great benefit.
5. Once you get a base tan, go slow but tan regularly.
