I have epilepsy but I am always nervous. I had a crisis, I take 3 pills a day, 1.5 in the morning and 1.5 evening. Is this enough or should I consult my doctor?

Dr. Karim Farah Pulmonology
There are different types of seizures and to each different types of medications. If you are still having a seizure on the current therapy, you need to inform your physician who might check the drug level by lab (if possible) and either increase the dose or add another medication to better control the seizure attacks. You need to have at least 2 years free of seizures with normal imaging to be able to taper down the treatment.
In addition, you have to be careful not to drive a car unless cleared by your physician, avoid flashing lights, and sleeping early.
