I have an excess of saliva that i wake up with everyday. It can only stop after I eat or drink something afterwards (except for water) yet I cannot swallow it. Any solutions or explanation for this?

Dr. Judy Matta Pediatrics
As Dr. Dimassi answered before, your problem is either due to an increase in your body's production of saliva or a decrease in your ability to swallow or keep saliva in your mouth. Some of the causes include reflux, mouth and throat infections, some medications, allergies, and also some neurological causes.
You have to check with your physician for a detailed history and physical exam to reach a diagnosis.
