I had a seizure and the EEG and the MRI both showed nothing. What's happening? Can it be only stress? Should I see a psychologist!?

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Psychogenic nonepileptic seizures (PNES), or pseudoseizures are paroxysmal episodes of convulsions that resemble epileptic seizures. They are often misdiagnosed as epileptic seizures. However, PNES are psychological; they result from emotional stress. In fact, PNES is officially classified as a psychiatric disorder; more specifically it is a conversion disorder, whereby the affected patients have physical manifestations due to stress without having an actual illness.
You should entertain consulting a psychiatrist on the matter.
