I get heat stroke symptoms whenever I'm exposed to sunlight (it can even be a pn a cold day). I'm hydrated, other bright lights don't bother me, I don't burn/tan. Can sun allergies occur without rash?

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
As I have previously explained, and based upon your description of symptoms, this is a form of eye sensitivity to light (photophobia) that is most likely associated with migraine headache, and it seems to be triggered particularly by sunlight and not fluorescent or artificial light. It is not a form of allergy - allergic reactions that occur on sun exposed areas of the skin typically do not involve neurologic symptoms such as headache and dizziness.
