I am taking augmentin 1 g for sore throat. Does this affect Yasmin? Does antibiotic decrease effectiveness of Yasmin?

- No. In principle, antibiotics (including Augmentin or amoxicillin-clavulanic acid) do not interact with oral contraceptive pills and thus should not affect their effectiveness.

Some birth control pills have been pulled from the market in other countries over DVT concerns. Should I be worried about taking Yasmin?

- the pills pulled are at risk of thrombosis the other pills yasmin also are safe

Hello i start taking yasmin pills this month cause of severe pain. Can I skip the 7 days no pill and start another tablet to avoid being sick because I have a trip?

- Sure, you can skip up to 3-4 months, with no harm. I agree that some harmless spotting is expected.
