I'm not married and my average cycle is 45 days. My period is due in 23 days but I already have tender and bigger breasts. Why is that?

Obstetrics & Gynecology
- 45 days is too long. Hormonal changes can induce changes, mainly progesterone. I do recommend a gynecologist consult for check up, ultrasound & a hormonal workup.

I just finished my period (which is irregular) and I still have swollen soft breasts (no pain). I've never experienced that before. Should I be worried?
Dr. Salim Saab,
Otolaryngology (Ent)
- Usually, you have to examine your breasts after each period. If the examination is negative, you don't have to be worried.
