I was prescribed diane and yasmine pills together. period is irregular and i have ovarian cysts. what i'd like to know, isn't one of them enough?

- we don't prescribe 2 oral contraceptive pills in the same time,irregular cycle + ovarian cyst should be investigated by ultrasound & hormonal work up.

- you have to do an ultrasound first to see if there is ovarian cyst, also a urine pregnancy test is needed to see if there is ectopic pregnancy - although rare-

- you should also do hormonal workup & pelvic ultrasound to R/O any ovarian cyst than can affect your period

- FSH and other related test are usually done on day 3 of your cycle,if it was high it should repeated & an Ultrasound should be done

- You have to do a pregnancy test and see. First thing we think of is pregnancy but other causes are possible too
