Regarding the HPV vaccine, should I take the gardasil or cervarix or both shots? What is the difference between the two and what are the benefits of each separately and combined?

Dr. Salim Saab, Otolaryngology (Ent) - I am for the Cervarix shot. Only cervarix provides protection against each of the most common cancercs causing HPV type 16 18 31 45, long term immune response 9. 4 years, and is well tolerated.

Dr. Maria Karam, Pediatrics - Yes it is but do the gardasil not the cervarix; it covers the non cancerous strains. Although each shot costs 200$ but it is better.
