It could be that he's a colicky baby. Infantile colics start at about 2 weeks of age, last till about the age of 4 months, after which they grow less frequent and gradually fade away. A baby having colics cries during or after the meal with leg pulling towards the abdomen. It's a high pitched cry that is not easily consonance. The episode may stretch over a couple of hours. Relief can be brought about by burping, passing gas. Remedies include fennel tea, simethicone, Gripe water, tummy rubbing (in a circular motion), and sometimes rocking. A contributing factor is maternal diet: if you eat foods that give gas (such as broccoli, beans, cabbage etc.), this increases the likelihood of colics in your baby as the components of these foods are passed in the milk.
Another possibility is reflux of stomach acid into theeesophagus(the ttube that connects the throat to the stomach). This is known as gastroesophageal reflux. If it gets complicated, the esophagus may become inflamed and pain is elicited with feeding. Using anti reflux milk formula or thickeningyour milk wwith rice water may be helpful - but care that rice water may render the baby's stools harder.
A 3rd possibility is cow milk protein allergy (from the milk formula). If you notice blood or mucus in your baby’s poop, this could be the case. Stool analysis and culture to rule out a possible infection is recommended. After that, you may shift to hypo allergenic milk formula (when needed) and continue to breast feed but avoid milk and dairy products yourself.

Annual Checkup
It is recommended that all individuals see a Family Doctor for a full medical examination annually. Adults should get their blood pressure checked (US Preventive Task Force), a flu vaccine (CDC) and more each year.
The American Dental Association recommends dental cleanings for adults at least twice annually. Some stains can only be removed by a professional cleaning.
It’s recommended by the American Academy of Ophthalmology that every adult between the ages of 18 and 80 does an eye examination at least once every two years.
It's recommended by the American Cancer Association that every adult between the age of 20 and 80 does an annual skin screening by a licensed dermatologist.
