What's the cause of a long diarrhea (arrount one year) and what are solutions?
(This happened to my father he is 50 years old, he smokes arround 20 cigarets per day, eats spicy)

some causes of chronic diarrhea : irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), malabsorption syndromes, chronic infections, Endocrine disorders (An overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) ...), Food allergy or sensitivity , Medicines ...
It is difficult to know the exact cause of a chronic diarrhea without a complete physical exam, and lots of blood tests.
