Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
The tumor does not move but it may enlarge in size, thus compressing adjacent structures which will affect the normal function of these structures. As a result, this affects daily functions and you may notice changes in sleep patterns such as excessive sleepiness or insomnia, frequent mood swings, irritability etc. Headaches, visual disturbances (such as blurring of vision, or double vision "diplopia"), vomiting, dizziness may also occur because of increased pressure inside the skull. Poor movement coordination and disturbed gait (ability to walk while keeping balance) may also develop.
