My latest blood test showed a low ferritine level of 11.04, whilst hematocrite is 36.7 and hemoglobin is 12.10. Do I suffer from anemia? My doctor asked for an endoscopy but I am not convinced.
It doesn't seem that you have the anemia yet, but you have low iron. This can lead to anemia in the future. This low iron could be from your periods, especially if heavy. If it is not explained by your menses, an endoscopy might be needed.
