Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
more probably a folliculitis or if big enough with soreness and red swelling a furuncle Folliculitis is an inflammation and infection of hair follicles, the tiny openings in the skin from which hair grows. it is due to an invasion of bacteria that enter the follicles and cause a bacterial infection.it is most commonly the result of an infection of staphylococcal bacteria,it is often caused by an infection that occurs after shaving, waxing, tweezing and other types of hair removal methods
in more complicated case it can become a (furuncle)
treatment :
use other hair removal way than shaving
stay clean you can use antibacterial wash
Since bacteria and other germs in the genital area can be a factor in the pimples, dry the affected area well. Dampness and moisture in the pubic area can worsen the folliculitis
you can use antibacterial cream on the pimple such as fucidin

some information about herpes
A herpes lesion is caused by the Herpes simplex virus (HSV). Typically, herpes-lesion go through an appearance change over time. To be specific, HSV has 4 stages: During the first stage, a red spot appears called an "erythema" that is painful and itches; then a pimple filed with serous liquid appears in the vesicular stage; the pimple occurs in the middle of the erythema; after few days, the pimple pops and an ulceration stays, and finally the ulceration turns into a crust and heals with no scar. The whole evolution of the herpes-lesion lasts about 14 days. Itching and redness is present all the time.
(In your case, you state that there is a€œ big painfull pimple If it is filled with pus, the skin condition is called a superficial folliculitis. Superficial folliculitis is a bacterial infection)
