Is there any test to know our immunity level or things related to immunity? if yes what is it called and is it available in any laboratory? thanks

Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
There is no specific test for immunity ,laboratory studies are to determine the presence of a primary immunodeficiency disease. This is usually prompted by an individual experiencing some clinical problems, particularly recurrent and/or chronic infections. Information regarding the types of organisms, the sites of infection and the therapies required to treat the infections often help focus the laboratory studies.
The patient’s medical history and physical exam direct the appropriate choice of laboratory tests and thus the test is taken according to all mentioned critiria.

The laboratory tests used to evaluate immune disorders are used to identify antibody deficiencies, cellular (T-cell) defects, neutrophil disorders and complement deficiencies.

The standard screening tests for antibody deficiency starts with measurement of immunoglobulin levels in the blood serum. These consist of IgG, IgA and IgM levels

yet a simple way to assess immunity is to evaluate possible decreased or absent T-cells in a complete blood count (CBC) and differential to establish the total blood (absolute) lymphocyte count. This is a reasonable method to access for diminished T-cell numbers, since normally about three-quarters of the circulating lymphocytes are T-cells and a reduction in T-lymphocytes will usually cause a reduction in the total number of lymphocytes, or total lymphocyte count.

There are also tests for specific antibody production. These tests measure how well the immune system responds to vaccin
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
Measles / Mumps / Rubella
Chickenpox
Rabies
Polio
Yellow fever
also TB testing shows whether your immune system recognizes TB or no
SO there is no specific test but evaluation of the total findings beside patient history and age and medical condition and environmental factors ,....that target what tests to be done and illustrated .
