I went to beach for 2 hour yesterday and had sunburn on my chest and shoulders. my skin is red, hot, and sore. I am 11 weeks pregnant, will it affect baby? i took my temprature it is 36.8.
We recommend not to have an elevation in body temperature especially during the first three months of pregnancy (jacuzzi , sauna or high fever can be culprits).
Going to the beach is ok if for a limited time and when taking precautions like keeping well hydrated and using sun screen.
Your skin is more sensitive to sunburn during pregnancy and you should use local ointments to allow it to heal, if you develop skin blisters on the sunburn areas you should see your doctor.
