When you are doing a 24 hr urine collection, you must wake up in the morning, urinate in the toilet, and then start collecting the urine.
You continue the collection all the day and during the night.
When you wake up the second day, you must collect your first void and then stop urine collection.
This will insure an accurate 24 hr urine collection.
