I had a flu when i had unprotected sex could this have a negative impact and can ease the transmission? And how soon will symptoms appear in case of infection

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
What do you mean by negative impact? Do you mean to say that the active flu infection might have strengthened your immune system (since it was actively fighting against the flu virus), rendering your body less susceptible to catching an infection? If this is what you mean then the answer is No, simply because these two entities are not known to be related. The incubation period may take around 3 weeks for viral STIs, less so for bacterial STIs. The thing about bacterial STIs is that they manifest themselves through obvious symptoms, so if you do not get any abnormal penile secretions, it means you did not catch a bacterial STI. Viral STIs, on the other hand, are more insidious and may not produce obvious symptoms, so in any case, get tested for hepatitis B and C and HIV within 3 weeks.
