Two things you need to keep in mind:
1- Alcohol consumed excessively increases your risk of developing peptic ulcer disease, or interferes with the proper healing of an existing stomach ulcer. The pain on your left side may be an indication of a stomach ulcer.
2- The most dreaded consequences of alcohol abuse is alcoholic fatty liver disease, which may progress into liver cirrhosis (تشمع الكبد). The good news is: you can start reducing your alcohol consumption now (and do a liver enzymes panel to see where you're at in terms of liver function and/or damage). The bad news is, among those who do develop liver disease, symptoms often develop only after severe, life-threatening liver disease has already developed.
