I am still a virgin. But I have no desire for any sexual activity. Could things change when I get married?

Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
Sex drive is a result of hormone stimulation ,from the brain in the presence of a good circulation in the body beside normal system .
So any of these when affected by any factor will lead to low sex drive .

Well it may change after marriage ,and be normal if you are not exposed to a visual, emotional, physical stimulation or excitation in this stage of life ,then your brain is not been giving orders for a high sex drive so this might change after being in a relationship after marriage ,feelings thinking seeing all affect your sex drive in the way this is a point .

You may feel that these things as a guilty feeling and this is affecting your sexual drive suppression and thus also when you married you may change because this feeling will vanish and you will feel these feelings are permitted now so there will be a release of your sex hormone blood flow toward a liberty of your sexual feelings ,this is another point .

Stress and anxiety may go after marriage and this will also affect you sex drive after marriage due to a new stage any girl is waiting .this is also a point

But if you are free of these feelings and you are stimulated but with no response then their must be other causes like the one i mentioned before .

we will try to think in a positively in simple causes if you had no other medical diseases or underlying conditions ,it may be the pills ,it may be the stress ,smoking ,alcohol, poor diet, insufficient vitamins proteins, junk food ,over thinking ,laziness ,lack of exercise , and you might need to make some lifestyle changes

No smoking - no beer- no drugs. ANY of these can interrupt blood flow resulting in diminished libido

What follows is a list of lifestyle, health, and dietary factors that may improve sexual function

- GET ADEQUATE SLEEP
Your body needs adequate amounts of sleep. A lack of sleep is a major cause of low sex drive and/or sexual problems. Strive to get at least 7-9 hours of sleep each night to increase and maintain sexual virility. Take afternoon rests or naps when possible.

- DE-STRESS REGULARLY
Chronic stress is toxic to the body,Strive to keep stress levels as low as possible in order to maximize not only your health and well-being, but to increase your sexual virility and sex drive. Meditate on a regular basis; do yoga moves in addition to deep breathing exercises to help unwind and de-stress.

- EXERCISE REGULARLY
In addition to improving mental and physical health, regular exercise promotes healthy sexual function and helps to improve sexual virility. Aim to exercise at least 4-5 times per week, incorporating moderate cardiovascular exercise in addition to strength training. Regular exercise promotes healthy blood circulation and increases testosterone and growth hormone levels, all of which promote increased sexual virility and sexual function.

- ELIMINATE JUNK FOOD
Eating a healthy diet promotes physical and emotional health as well as healthy sexual function and virility. A poor diet, one lacking in adequate nutrients and antioxidants, can result in a low sex drive and sexual performance problems
Eat a diet heavy in fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean cuts of meat and fish, and low-fat dairy to increase sexual virility and improve sexual function.

- ADD GARLIC TO YOUR DIET
Garlic is rich in allicin, which can improve blood flow to the sexual organs, which in turn promotes healthy sexual function and strong, hard erections. Cut up some garlic and sprinkle it on your favorite foods. Or take a garlic supplement. Garlic is a sexual super food that can increase your sexual virility.

- ADD AVOCADO TO YOUR DIET
Avocados are rich in folic acid and high in vitamin B6, both of which help to regulate sexual hormone function, which in turn helps to optimize sexual health and sexual virility. Add some avocado slices to your salad or on your sandwich.

- EAT A BANANA DAILY
Bananas are another sexual super food that can help improve sexual function and increase sexual virility. Bananas are high in bromelain and b vitamins, both of which are potent sexual hormone regulators that can help improve sexual function, sexual desire, and sexual virility. Add a banana to your daily diet

-EAT FISH AND SEA FOOD

-GINGER IS A GOOD CHOICE TOO

So don't panic every thing might change ,stress in itself and thinking in this alone might affect negatively ,don't listen to some friends who try to exaggerates their feelings in front of you ,if you think there is something wrong where to cause from the causes mentioned in the previous and this question then check with a gynecologist and express your problem to know the cause .if you are ok and satisfied so why to worry let theses feelings to come on their own after being loved or love everything might change .
