I am having a chest pain right under the right breast. At the ER all the blood teats came clean and the ECG was perfect. The pain is sharp but usually lasts a few seconds

i agree with Dr Shammas ,there are many common causes that could lead to sharp right chest pain under the right breast or ribs
this complain is a big title that could mean many things ,you need to look out for other symptoms besides this pain to point out for the possible cause that might be as simple as muscles chest pain or more serious proplems.
some common causes might be:
-Pancreatitis:Sharp pain under right breast that emerges from the upper abdomen and often spreads to the sides and the back is the main symptom of pancreatitis. Nausea, vomiting, fever, yellowish skin and a racing heartbeat are some other symptoms observed.
A heavy meal or excessive alcohol can cause shooting pain.
Gallstones is another important cause of rib pain under right breast. The symptoms noticed are pain under right breast or rib cage pain, pain in the right side of abdomen, pain spreading to right upper back, chest, or right shoulder, nausea, gases or vomiting.
-Infection of the gall bladder can also cause pain under right breast.
-Costochondritis: it is nothing but inflammation of the muscles of the rib cage. Due to such type of inflammation there is pain in the area where the breastbone is connected to the rib cage. Excessive coughing is a common causes of costochondritis as coughing poses undue stress on the rib bones. -Viral respiratory infections can also lead to costochondritis. Inflammation of Cartilage:The cartilage situated between the breastbone and the ribs, when inflamed, can create a lot of discomfort and pain. The pain lasts for a very short period of time. Ribs, delicate bony structures are quite prone to fractures and injuries. With the help of X-rays, fractures can be detected. A minor hair crack can also lead to severe pain.
-Liver Damage can also cause pain under right breast or under right rib cage.
Mononucleosis can lead to chronic abdominal pain in the upper right quadrant, along with a fever, sore throat, and extreme fatigue....
