I am being careful on what i'm eating ( avoiding boiled tomatoes pickles and other acidic nutriments) Stomach cramps are gone after consulting a doctor. but reflux is back only at late times at night.
it is obvious from what you mentioned that your pain or heartburn(burning sensation) or what you describe by reflux is coming when your stomach is empty with no food ,from the first you describe a pain in the morning meaning that the pain comes when it had been long time without eating ,and the same symptom is here ,at late night
gastritis ,peptic ulcer patients complain of these symptoms .
it is good that you take your medications and the stomach cramps are gone ,that is great
but remember that the condition might recur if you don't pay attention to what you eat ,heartburn are on of the condition symptoms
the doctor will give treatment that include antibiotic if helicopacter pylori is present , antacids to neutralize the acid, and H2-blockers or proton pump inhibitors to reduce stomach acid production for period of time
as for prevention of recurrence ,it is advised to :
-avoid food that increase acidity of the stomach
-the MAIN ISSUE in your case is not to let your stomach empty ,try always to eat small meals, if your stomach is empty ,the acid in your stomach will start to cause symptoms and harm you .So divide your meals ,take several meals in a day especially before sleep , it is not necessary to be a large meal ,and if you feel a pain or heartburn then eat a small portion of food
- milk is a good buffer for the stomach ,it neutralizes acidity of the stomach
-avoid alcohol and smoking
-raise your head when sleeping with a high pillow this will decrease acid return to your esophagus and mouth
