The treatment of sludge of the Gall Bladder is the same as that for stones of the Gall Bladder.
If it was discovered on an ultrasound which was done for abdominal pain on the right side (colics) the treatment is surgery.
If sludge was discovered while doing and ultrasound for something else the treatment is observation and repeat ultrasound at later dates.
Meanwhile some medications might help delay the formation of stones but their effectiveness is limited.
